Character Information
*Character Name: Arcee
*Character Canon: Transformers IDW
*Age: At least 6 million years
*Race: Cybertronian
*Timeline/Pull Point: IDW Robots in Disguise #18

*History: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Arcee_%28G1%29#IDW_Generation_1_continuity

*Personality:
Where to begin with Arcee? She's an extremely damaged individual, though that's not exactly something that's all that uncommon in cybertronians. What makes her unlike the others is the fact that that everyone knows it. She can't escape from the trauma that was done as it defines her to everyone else. Nobody remembers Arcee for what she was before she was twisted into something different by the scientist Jhiaxus. To compound it, all other cybertronians can sense this in her.

Arcee harbored a lot of self loathing for a while. She's the only female of her species, something not natural by cybertronian standards. All those new feelings, impulses, and changes in her body was maddening, like throwing a child into an adult's body. It was heavily implied it was extremely painful as well. She doesn't consider herself the 'female' that Jhiaxus wanted her to be, resenting the use of female pronouns.

It made her angry and hateful and that channeled itself into violence easily. Arcee has grown to love violence; it's easy for her to understand that path from hate to violence. She describes the feeling of combat as the best feeling in the universe. She's good at it, enough to gain the reputation of being a killing machine. She's creative enough to have become an assassin, tenacious enough that she killed Jhiaxus over and over for six years and didn't get bored. She's been hurt so bad that Arcee knew nothing but hate and pain most of her life; killing Decepticons -- hating them -- has become a core part of her personality.

Violent isn't the only thing that Arcee wants to be though, after a six year 'therapy' revenge. It gave her a lot of time to think. She doesn't want to be seen as a crazy psycho maniac. But feelings besides hate are hard for her to figure out. 'Real life is hard.' Arcee certainly understands fondness, but not really on a spark deep level. The same with sadness. This is frustrating to her, but she's only beginning to feel a full, colorful spectrum of emotions. She just doesn't seem aware of what she feels, like disappointment and hurt.

She yearns for acceptance and friends. It's difficult being different and there's nobody like her to understand her. She wants to fit in, even going so far as to insert herself into the Autobot group, even if she herself isn't an Autobot. She picks her friends, even if it's one-sided. Fighting together, having a mutual goal or something she can respect automatically equates an ally, but an ally doesn't automatically equal trust. There are few who actually have that, namely Prowl.

*Powers/Abilities:
Like all cybertronians, Arcee is a giant robotic being powered by a 'spark', which is the cybertronian equivalent of a soul. Although she's really not all that impressive in size for her species, her body can still withstand a huge amount of trauma and live. It's really not all that unheard of for cybertronians to survive stabbings, crushing, even dismemberment (and beheading!) that would normally kill a human. Arcee can also transform like most other cybertronians; her altform is a cybertronian sports car.

Arcee doesn't have weapon upgrades built into her body (if you don't count flash grenades in her hands) like many other war frames, but she is skilled in external weaponry. Most commonly used are two ignitable energon blades, but she's still an expert with a sniper rifle or a pistol. Her combat expertise has made her notorious with the cybertronian race, namely for pretty much carving up anything in her path.

Aside from weaponry, Arcee is also extremely flexible and strong and has a great sense of stamina. She's gone toe-to-toe with Ultra Magnus, several Decepticons at once, and even fought during the Chaos event. She can pretty much pretzel her legs behind her head she's so bendy. Stealth is also another thing she excels at; she can slip in out of places unseen and unheard, hide in places other mechs normally couldn't (like the side of a building). Makes her a pretty good spy, aside from an assassin.

Lastly, she has a natural ability to sense Jhiaxus and his creations and home in on them. Why or how? Well, canon hasn't really supplied that yet.

*Inventory: Two fiery energon blades.

*Starting Polarity: All praise Hurdurga.

If AU, how does your character differ from canon?: N/A

Writing Samples
*First Person Sample:
[ It's been a while since she's used a video comm; Prowl had her keeping a low profile for so long her conversations were almost always housecalls. There were only a few rare occasions in which she used a frequency.

But she didn't need to hide anymore, right? She was an Autobot, just like the rest of them. She frowns, looking sort of concerned. ]

So what now?

[ Because it looked like they were starting over again, and she wanted to know what to do. ]

We're making a new Cybertron, right? Got about ten minutes to start explaining before I start cutting heads off these drones for attention.

*Third Person Sample:
Arcee was alert, already scouting the area, making her way through the pile of debris and junk. Another mech might have woken up under that unfamiliar sky and fell quickly to confusion and fear, but the pink mech adapted to these situations as naturally as a fish could swim. Chaos was something she was born in; it was her ally. This wasn't the first time she had to react to unfamiliar surroundings.

The mark on her arm was new-- not the Autobot sigil, but the glyph that seemed permanently dyed into her armor. She crouches in the shrapnel and junk, scratching at it like it itches, but the only thing she accomplished was flaking away some pink paint. Whoever put it there, they put it deep. Arcee hated that, being marked against her will. She wanted to find who branded her body and carve out their optics.

She didn't feel Jhiaxus or his monstrosities anywhere. Didn't matter. They weren't her only enemies.

Arcee unhooked one of her energon blades from her back and ignited it as she moved smoothly to stand. She could see the shapes of civilization in several directions, a shining light bright enough to banish darkness as far as she could see with the naked optic. Who did she attempt contact first? She could feel the buzz of a new frequency in her comms. How convenient. Almost too convenient. She didn't trust it, but there are few things she did trust.

She took a few moments to peruse it as low-key as she could manage. Ah, there. There was one at least. She activated her comms.

"Prowl. It's Arcee."

Final Notes: As stated on her wiki, Arcee never was Autobranded. The Spotlight was the only issue she was ever shown with a brand, now mainly considered a continuity error. ~*~*retcon*~*~ She's carved her own brand now, but she's never been initiated despite her mentally affiliating herself as an Autobot. Her own brand of crazy.

Also noting that Arcee is called 'she' by other cybertronians subconsciously, but she herself does not consider herself female and prefers the male 'he'. Not much can be done about it, I guess. I imagine it's a reflex thing.
